Japan PM meets Arab League chief in Egypt

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Sunday attended a session of the Arab League in Cairo. Before the session, Kishida met with the organization's secretary-general, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, for talks. According to a spokesman for the Secretary-General, both leaders discussed the strengthening of ties between Japan and the Arab nations and plans to hold an Arab-Japanese political dialogue in September.

He is due to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the presidential Palace in Cairo later on Sunday.
