Rescuers on Saturday located the bodies of seven people at the crash site of a helicopter that disappeared from radars in north-central Italy during a storm.

Four Turks, two Lebanese and the Italian pilot were aboard the aircraft when it crashed in a heavily forested mountainous area on Thursday in the Tuscan–Emilian Apennines.

They were traveling from Lucca to Treviso to visit a tissue paper production facility.

The Air Force Rescue Coordination Centre led the search, and found the area after they were tipped off to the crash site by a mountain runner who spotted the helicopter on Saturday morning.
