Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday the country is banning flights from Britain, Denmark and South Africa due to fears about the new strain of coronavirus. He said those are the countries where the mutation is present.

He also said that anyone returning from those countries would have to go into mandatory 14-day quarantine. Netanyahu spoke a day after he was vaccinated against the coronavirus. Israel pushed ahead with its vaccination campaign on Sunday, beginning with other top officials and front-line health-care workers.
