Investment affairs: Mon State Investment Committee held meeting

The Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun attended the Mon State Investment Committee meeting (1/2022) held at the Aung San Hall of the state government office on February 28.

Speaking at the meeting, the chief minister said that the good economic conditions in the state are being created and the economic developments of Mon State together with the country’s economic improvement are being carried out.

The Mon State Investment Committee is permitting local and international investments to create job opportunities. The collaboration of the relevant sector is needed for the economic development of the local and international industries.

Next, the attendees discussed the economic development of Mon State, mitigation of environmental damage, systematic disposal of garbage and preparedness of fire hazards. 

The members of state investment committee reported the status of implementation in line with the existing law, by-law and procedures and the chief minister coordinated necessaries.

Till February, 2022, there are 18 citizens’ investments and 8 foreign investments in Mon State and those investments have created 3173 jobs for locals and 145 jobs for foreigners, it’s reported.
