International Youth Day: Magway Region Marks 2026 Ceremony

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko attended the 2026 International Youth Day ceremony held at the Town Hall in Magway on August 12.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister stated that today's youth are invaluable human resources for the development of the nation, representing the country's future, strength, and the people who will continue building the nation. He emphasized that a country's development depends heavily on factors such as the capacity, morality, responsibility, accountability, leadership, and high moral integrity of the youth who will take over the nation's future responsibilities.

He urged young men and women to place special emphasis on striving to enhance their skills and moral standing. Next, the message sent by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres was read. Following this, a video clip documenting youth all-round development activity commemorating the 2026 International Youth Day was screened. Afterward, the Regional Chief Minister and officials presented honor awards to 18 outstanding youth from Magway Region.
