International Museum day: Museums will be allowed free admission for the public

To celebrate the International Museum Day 2023, Myanmar Museums under the Department of Archaeology and National Museum will be allowed with free admission for the public on 18th May.

International Museum day (IMD) is an international day and it is held annually on or around 18 May and coordinated by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). This year’s theme is “Museum Satiability and Wellbeing”.

The celebration aims to get more knowledge for the people by studying the things and materials relating the nation’s histories shown at the museum. Myanmar became a member of the ICOM in 2016 and has participated in the activities since 2017.
