Empowerment of Women: Delegation to attend 2nd UN Tourism Regional Conference

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine left for Bali of Indonesia on Wednesday to attend the 2nd UN Tourism Regional Conference on the Empowerment of Women in Tourism in Asia and the Pacific.

The delegation was seen off by concerned officials from the Ministry at the Yangon International Airport. The Conference from the 2nd to the 4th of May will be organized jointly by the UN Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia in collaboration with Bali Tourism Polytechnic.

It’s learnt that the conference’s agenda will include dialogue with leaders from both the public and private sectors who are driving social innovation, discussing strategies for the global tourism industry to confront and combat gender inequality.
