Inter-District football competition: MGY Region CM presented championship trophy

The Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the final match and prize presenting ceremony of 2025 Magway Region Chief Minister’s Trophy U-18 Inter-District men football competition held at the Region sports ground in Magway in the evening on May 26.

First, the Chief Minister and officials supported the final football match between the teams of Thayet District and Aung Lan District. In the match, Thayet District beat with 4-2 and won the championship.

During the prize presenting ceremony, the Chief Minister, Commander of the West Air Force Command Headquarters Ma-J Gen. Thein Tun Oo, Chief Justice of Region High Court, Region Ministers and officials presented championship trophy, individual medals, cash awards to the championship winner Thayet District team, first-runner up team of Aung Lan District, best players of the places. Additionally, the Chief Minister rewarded cash prize of 500,000 Kyats each to the two young football players who achieved the admission for the U-12 and U-14 teams of Yangon and Mandalay Football Academies.

The 2025 Magway Region Chief Minister’s Trophy U-18 Inter-District men football competition was held from May 15 to 26 and the teams of the districts of Magway Region played by dividing two groups in round-robin format, it’s reported.
