The Kayah State Government is actively implementing regional development projects and food self-sufficiency programs across the state.

On August 10, Chief Minister U Ant Maw inspected local cattle farming operations in Loikaw, instructing officials to ensure systematic breeding practices, regular vaccinations, and disease prevention. Then, he visited a broiler chicken farm funded by the State Economic Promotion Fund.

During the visit, the Chief Minister urged stakeholders to keep the farms clean and to aim beyond local food sufficiency by targeting exports to other regions. Following that, he observed and encouraged the affordable sale of eggs and pork to the public, a joint effort between the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and the State Livestock Federation.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the construction of the New Thirimingalar Market (Part 3), funded by the state government's 2026–2027 fiscal year budget, where he instructed those in charge to prioritize fire safety and workplace security.
