Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by officials, inspected the upgrade work at Maw Myay Oo Park in Kalaw in the afternoon on June 17. He viewed the proposed building site and model designs, providing necessary instructions to the officials.

He then visited the Kalaw Railway Station, where he observed the renovation and cleaning of the station building. The Chief Minister instructed that the station building's original design be preserved. He also noted the need for drainage work in front of the station and for the station road to be wide enough for two vehicles to pass. After inspecting the ongoing concrete shoulder work on the road in front of the station, he instructed officials to remove unnecessary old lampposts.

From there, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to Shwe Nyaung Town, Taunggyi Township, where they inspected the clearing of sand, silt, and garbage from the drainage ditch near the bridge between Yadanar Wards (1) and (2). This ditch flows into the Tayaw တာယော Creek. Officials from the State Department of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management were carrying out the cleaning to ensure good water flow. The Chief Minister emphasized to the officials the importance of proper waste disposal by the local residents and the need for a collaborative effort. He instructed them to work on preventing littering and to designate specific areas for waste disposal.
