Inspection Tour: Work processes at Thilawa SEZ and International Ports

Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn visited Thilawa Special Economic Zone on Friday to inspect the operation process of the factories.

The Union Minister arrived at Yojin Myanmar Cement Factory in the Promotion Zone and discussed for sufficient supply of local demand while maintaining the price stability. He also pointed to carry out the tasks in line with the Environmental Impact Assessment process.

Calling for ensuring worksite safety, the Union Minister oversaw the production process of the factory. They then proceeded to Guston Amava Garment Factory in Free Zone and instructed for increased implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility works. He also urged to produce byproducts locally using the waste items.

On arrival at Wilmar Rice Mill and Bran Oil Mill, the Union Minister instructed for exporting the surplus of local sufficiency. They also oversaw the docking of cargo ship at Wilmar Port, carrying the palm oil.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Sule Jetty and loading of over 26,000 tons of maize to be exported to India.

Likewise, the Union Minister inspected loading of maize and rice to the cargo ships to be export to India and Spain at Myanmar Industrial Port. They also oversaw the loading process of maize at Adani Jetty to be exported to Viet Nam.
