Opening summer sports training: Rakhine State CM provided sports materials and cash

The opening ceremony of summer basic sports training organized by the Rakhine State Government was held at Dinnyawady stadium in Sittwe Township in the evening on May 6 and attended by Chief Minister U Htein Lin, members of State Government, departmental officials, sports training instructors, trainees, social organizations and invited guests.

At the ceremony, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin said that the Union Government implements to open summer sports trainings at the Region, states, District and Township levels. In Rakhine State this year, the basic and advance techniques of three sports including Karate, Badminton and Volleyball will be given.

The trainees are urged to try hard in the relevant sport training to be reliable athletes for the State. Next, the Chief Minister provided sports materials to the education Department and the State education officer accepted. Then, Rakhine Kando group and Karatedo group carried out the demonstration and the students from education and training demonstrated the Fitness Dance.

After that, the Chief Minister provided cash of honor to the demonstration groups and cordially greeted the summer sports trainees, it’s reported.
