Dong Thap exports lotus to japan

Dong Thap province in Viet Nam held a ceremony to announce the export of lotus to Japan on Tuesday. The total volume of the shipment is 15 tons of sliced lotus root products. The lotus is one of six major products under the agricultural restructuring project of the province.

It also accounts for the highest number of products meeting OCOP 3- and 4-star standards in the district. Starting in 2023, the locality began coordinating with related units and businesses to pilot a model of growing lotus roots over a 3-hectare area. This export shipment is expected to introduce a new production approach for lotus farmers.
