Wang Yi visits Tajikistan, pledges to support Tajik economy

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Saturday in Dushanbe. He said China will actively support the development strategies of Tajikistan and will help the country improve its economy, during a meeting.

Rahmon said Tajikistan reached a number of consensuses with China during his visit last year and that significant results have been achieved with their implementation. He said promoting relations with China is a priority of Tajikistan's foreign policy and that Tajikistan has been unswervingly adhering to the one-China principle. Wang will also hold talks with the Tajik Foreign Minister during his visit.
