Panama President José Raúl Mulino met with leading Vietnamese shipping and maritime services companies, who reaffirmed their confidence in Panama’s ship registry and its stability.  Viet Nam, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, is not only the sixth-largest user of the Panamanian ship registry, with 325 vessels flying the Panamanian fla, but also ranks 17th among the largest users of the Canal.

In total, more than 47 shipping and maritime companies from Viet Nam attended the event titled “An Ocean of Opportunities,” with President Mulino serving as the keynote speaker.
