Inspection Tour: Rubber Farms And Factories In Mon State Inspected

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than together with the Deputy Minister and official visited Min Ywa rubber farm in Thanbyuzayat Township on 16th January. On arrival at the farm, the in-charge of the farm reported rubber planting.

The Union Minister called for arrangements for more production of rubber resins and replacement of quality rubber plants in the old ones.

At a rubber factory in Thanbyuzayat Township, the Union Minister stressed on high yield, arrangements for quality rubber strains and measures for systematic recycling to prevent environmental damage caused by waste water and inspected rubber production process.

The Union Minister and party then looked into planting of durians that is jointly carried out by the Ministry of Industry and the United Agrifood Co., Ltd. They then visited ceramic production center, No.(4) Brewery in Mawlamyine and Mon State Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection (DISI) and inspected functioning tasks and called for emphasis on environmental conservation,  manufacturing of the products meeting set standards and doing the tasks actively and quickly to get good results.

On 17th January, the Union Minister held meeting with Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun and the State Ministers and explained about functioning tasks of the Ministry.

The Deputy Minister discussed rubber production of the Ministry in Mon State, condition of the factories and plans to open rubber-specialized industrial training school in the next year to create more job opportunities for the youths in the State. The Union Minister and party then visited KyonKa Rubber farm in Paung Township and No.21 Heavy Industry (Thaton).
