Inspection Tour: Natural Gas Fields and Seismic Measurement Site

Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Chairman of Electric Power and Energy Development Commission Admiral Tin Aung San accompanied by concerned officials visited Natural Gas Fields and 2D Seismic measurement site in Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions.

On 3rd May at Aphyauk Natural Gas Field, the Deputy Prime Minister heard reports on natural gas production acceleration due to systematic research and surveys and further work implementations. Upon reports, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed words of appreciations for the relevant individuals who made strenuous efforts for natural gas production development and encouraged to strive for continuous development of natural gas, drafting master plans and using modern equipment.

Then, the Deputy Prime Minister provided cash assistance and foodstuff for the staff and inspected the natural gas well No.56. On 4th May, the Deputy Prime Minister visited Maubin (South) Natural Gas Field and heard reports on current natural gas production and distribution and new wells drilling.

Upon reports, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized on acceleration of natural gas productions from old wells and drilling new wells and exploration of new natural gas fields in accordance with the need. Then, the Deputy Prime Minister provided foodstuff and cash assistance for the staff and inspected condensate and natural gas production at well no.

10 and 13. Subsequently, the Deputy Prime Minister proceeded to 2D Seismic Measurement site at SabaGyi San-Nat Sin Kone area in Kungyangon Township of Yangon Region. There, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed to conduct processing and interpretation swiftly and drilling new wells in potential areas as well as the safety measures. Then, the Deputy Prime Minister provided foodstuff and inspected the measuring and recording process.
