Inspection Tour: MOALI Deputy Minister tours in Yangon Region

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi inspected warehouses owned by the Department of Agriculture in Thaketa and South Dagon Townships, Yangon Region on March 1.

The warehouses are being operated under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) system by Ngwe Yi Pale Company, Thein Htun Aung Company, and Thiri Myint Myat Company.

He instructed the companies to strictly follow the contract terms and ensure proper fire safety measures. He then visited the Regional Research Center under the Department of Agricultural Research to review ongoing and planned research activities for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, including the Sin Shwe Kyar (2) rice cultivation project.

The Deputy Minister also inspected the Lay Daunt Kan Fisheries Station in Dagon Myothit (East), where research and breeding of rare native fish species are being carried out. He urged officials to expand the production and distribution of quality fish species and provide training to fish farmers.
