Inspection Tour: Development works in Naga Self-Administered Zone

On 17th May, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw accompanied by concerned officials made a tour in Lahe Township of Naga Self-Administered Zone. 

On arrival at Theravada Buddhist Missionary (Central) Monastery in Lahe Township, the Chief Minister and party paid homage to the presiding sayadaw, donated offertories and supplicated religious matters.

Then, the Chief Minister and party visited Naga traditional clothing shops and industries within Lahe Township and coordinated necessities.

At Moe Dan Lake, the Chief Minister instructed on cleanliness of the lake and its surrounding area and preservation of forests near spring water area. Then, the chief Minister inspected the Arabica coffee plantation within development committee office compound and gave necessary instructions.

On the same day, the Chief Minister presided over a meeting with departmental officials, town’s elders and officials from Naga Literature and Culture Associations at Naga Cultural Museum.

During the meetings, officials made clarifications on respective regional development activities, being undertaken within Naga Self Administered Zone and further development plans.

Upon clarifications, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of peace and stability of the region in order to develop socio-economic status of people while emphasizing on food security and cleanliness within the region. He also provided cash assistance for departmental staff and Naga Literature and Culture Association.
