Inspection of sports facilities: MoSYA UM inspected sports facilities in Yangon

The Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by officials, inspected several facilities in Yangon in the afternoon on June 10.

In Tamwe Township, the Union Minister and officials visited the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) at the Kyaikkasan Sports Ground. There, they inspected the wrestling gymnasium and the dining hall, kitchen, and storage room of the 4-story dormitory where preliminary national selection athletes are housed.

The Union Minister instructed that the facilities be kept clean and tidy, that hygienic and healthy meals be prepared and served, that there be an adequate supply of water and electricity, and that security and systematic management be ensured.

Subsequently, the Union Minister and party visited the bowling alley in Tamwe Township, the site for the National Golf Training Course in the Thuwunna Sports Zone, the National Indoor Stadium (1) Thuwunna, and the Taekwondo and Sepak Takraw gymnasiums at the Thuwunna Youth Sports Training Camp. During the visit, they observed and encouraged the preliminary national selection athletes in their training and gave necessary instructions, it was learned.
