Inspection of Sports Facilities: MOS UM inspected sports facilities in Shan State

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports, U Ye Myint Tun, visited sports grounds, indoor sports halls, and trainees participating in the “Football for School” program in Kalaw, Shan State, Thursday morning.

First, the Union Minister inspected the condition of the sports grounds and indoor sports facilities in Kalaw Township, as well as the basic football training program being implemented under the “Football for School” initiative at the State Sports Ground in Taunggyi.

During the visit, coaches were seen systematically teaching and training 300 male and female trainees in fundamental football techniques.

The Union Minister observed the training sessions and gave necessary instructions and support.

Afterwards, at the indoor sports hall of the State Sports Ground in Taunggyi, the Union Minister watched the intensely contested semifinal match between the Mon State team and the Chin State team in the 2026 Region and State U-25 Men’s Volleyball Tournament.

The Union Minister later met with officers and staff at the Department of Sports and Physical Education office, where he delivered remarks, provided support materials for staff members, and addressed their presentations and difficulties by arranging the necessary assistance, it’s reported.
