Inspection of Skills Trainings : MOL UM inspected Skills Trainings in Bago

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe attended a meeting with staff at the Skills Training School (Bago) in Bago Region on 15 June, where he delivered an address. He also inspected the ongoing welding training courses at the school and the preparations being made to open garment training courses.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and responsible officials visited garment factories in Bago Region, including Myanstar Garment Co., Ltd, Suitstar Garment Co., Ltd, and Sudey Industrial Myanmar Co., Ltd. They inspected workplace operations, the implementation of workers’ rights and benefits, and compliance with occupational safety and health directives in the workplaces. Necessary guidance and instructions were also given.

The Union Minister and officials further observed the provision of on-site medical services being carried out through the Social Security Board’s mobile medical treatment vehicle and warmly met and encouraged the workers.

The Social Security Board also provided on-site healthcare services to insured workers at the three garment factories through mobile medical teams and mobile treatment vehicles. Services included necessary medical treatment and medicine distribution, laboratory testing, and ECG examinations, it’s reported.
