Inspection of Schools: SAC member inspected schools in Myitkyina

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, on May 21, visited  Myitkyina, Kachin State, and inspected local high schools where Grade 12 students are undergoing subject-wise intensive preparation sessions to re-sit the matriculation examination, and inspected the ongoing training.

Daw Dwe Bu visited Basic Education High School No. 3 and Basic Education High School No. 1 in Myitkyina, where teachers are conducting review lessons by subject for Grade 12 students to help them prepare for the re-exam. She encouraged the students and addressed the needs of the schools with the responsible authorities.

Later, she attended a handover ceremony at the Kachin State Government Office’s Maykha Hall, where 100 sets of temporary shelters (tent houses) and 312 tarpaulins were donated by the People’s Government of Baoshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.

The donation was received by Kachin State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan, who also presented a certificate of honor in return. In the afternoon, Daw Dwe Bu, together with the State Chief Minister, visited the "Phyo Wai Wai" Paper and Book Production Industry in the Myitkyina Industrial Zone, where they inspected the production of school notebooks, exercise books, tissue paper, and cardboard.

Following this, she visited and gave moral support to displaced families from San Ka village, Waingmaw Township, who had to temporarily relocate due to acts of violence. She also inspected the ongoing construction of temporary shelters in the area intended for government department staff from Chipwe District, and coordinated with responsible officials to ensure timely completion before the rainy season and systematic resettlement of the staff.
