








Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, accompanied by responsible officials, visited basic education schools in Sittwe Township Wednesday morning to observe and encourage students studying peacefully and to inspect the supplementary measles-rubella vaccination program being administered to children from IDP camps.
First, the Chief Minister, his wife and officials visited the Basic Education Primary School of Security Police Battalion No. (12), where they toured the school and observed students peacefully attending classes. They also inspected the cleanliness and maintenance of the school compound and provided umbrellas for the students.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Basic Education Post-Primary School in Thekkebyin Village, the Basic Education Post-Primary School in Tharyar Kone Village, and the Basic Education Post-Primary School in Thinganet Village. During the visits, they observed students studying peacefully and coordinated with responsible officials to facilitate the construction of sports grounds within the school compounds and the provision of sports equipment.
Next, the Chief Minister and officials visited Ohn Taw Gyi IDP Camp and nearby IDP camps, where township health department staff were administering supplementary measles-rubella vaccinations to children under 15 years of age. They observed and encouraged the vaccination activities and coordinated with officials to address necessary requirements, it’s reported.
