Inspection of repairing dams: NPT Council Chairman inspected repairing dams

Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Than Tun Oo, along with responsible officials, visited Yan Aung Myin Dam in Dekkhinathiri Township, on May 13, to inspect the repair progress of the main and auxiliary embankments that were damaged by the earthquake.

After hearing reports from the responsible officials, the Council Chairman gave necessary instructions and guidance. Following that, Chairman U Than Tun Oo attended the Coordination Meeting on the Development of Agriculture, Livestock, and MSME Enterprises in Nay Pyi Taw, held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council’s Zambuthiri Hall.

At the meeting, the Chairman emphasized the need for collaborative discussion and coordination to support the economic, social, and administrative development within Nay Pyi Taw. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring regular functioning of office operations, accelerating earthquake recovery and rehabilitation efforts, providing close supervision and support for students preparing for the university entrance exams, promoting tourism development, and accurately maintaining and reporting statistical data.

In the afternoon, Chairman U Than Tun Oo visited Chaungma Gyi Dam to inspect the ongoing repair works being carried out due to damages caused by the earthquake. He reviewed progress and gave further guidance based on the reports submitted by responsible officials.
