Inspection of reconstructions: Shan State CM inspected reconstruction works

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and the members of Shan State Government, on May 12,  visited areas in the Inlay region of Nyaungshwe Township, Kalaw District, that were affected by an earthquake to inspect and assess the ongoing rehabilitation efforts.

The Chief Minister and officials inspected the timbers and cement bags for the construction of houses, at the motorboat jetty in the Inlay hotel zone intended for rehabilitation purposes. They also observed the completed repair works at the Kay Lar ကေလာ Monastery, which had been damaged by the earthquake, using chain blocks and backholes.

Additionally, they inspected the ongoing renovation of Kay Lar ကေလာ Sub High School (Hnin-His နှင်းဆီ school building), the installation of sheet piles around the lake area near the Inlay Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the installation of 41 concrete pillars under the main hall, and the designated area for repairing the pagoda’s structure.

Furthermore, they inspected the condition of the special plantation of various tree species at the Forest Department’s Greenzone nursery in Taunggyi Township.

The Chief Minister and officials also inspected the planned site for an 8-acre greening and landscaping project along the ascend and descend roads of Aye Tharyar area in Taunggyi Township, it’s reported.
