Inspection of preparations: Preparations for sports competitions inspected

In accordance with the guidance of the Head of State, Shan State will host several events of the 2025 Inter-Region and State Sports Competitions, including the U-25 Volleyball Tournament, the Under-18 Men’s Football Tournament, the Men’s Futsal Tournament, and the U-25 Women’s Football Tournament.

To oversee preparations, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, State Minister for Social Affairs and relevant officials, visited the venues where these competitions will be held.

The Union Minister and officials inspected the State Sports Ground designated for men’s and women’s football tournaments, the State Training Gymnasium for men’s and women’s volleyball and men’s futsal tournaments, auxiliary training grounds, athletes’ accommodations, athlete dining halls, and lodging facilities for referees and organizing committees.

Following the inspections, the Union Minister addressed the needs and made necessary arrangements based on the briefings provided.

Later, at the Taunggyi City Hall, the union minister and officials attended a welcome and introduction ceremony for the participating teams in the 2025 Inter-Region and State Volleyball Tournament. The Union Minister delivered a welcoming speech and opening remarks during the event.
