Inspection of Offices: MOIP Union Minister inspected work operations

Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by Deputy Ministers and responsible officials, in the morning on June 4, visited the temporary accommodation areas at the vehicle parking premises in front of the Ministry’s office in Nay Pyi Taw, where staff affected by the earthquake are being temporarily housed.

He inspected the current arrangements and instructed responsible personnel to make necessary adjustments and improvements.

Following that, the Union Minister also inspected the reconstruction progress of the Electronic Registration System Department building, which was damaged by the earthquake.

He reviewed the ongoing operations being carried out in Container Offices by staff without disruption, the integration of Regions and States offices through an online system, the issuance of Unique ID numbers, the updating and verification of personal data, and the setup of an e-ID server room using container boxes.

In addition, he checked on the renovation progress of the Department of Population office building, the regular work operations inside the offices by staff, and the data entry activities related to the 2024 Population and Housing Census being conducted in the computer room.

He also examined the temporary accommodation of staff around the office compound, the reconstruction status of the Immigration Department building, the normal continuation of work processes without delay, and the ongoing screening and approval processes for online e-Visa applications in the e-Visa section.

Furthermore, he inspected the restoration of the National Registration and Citizenship Department’s office, which had experienced ground subsidence due to the earthquake. Based on briefings by responsible officials, the Union Minister provided further instructions and support as necessary.
