






Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by responsible officials, paid homage to the Swe Taw Pagoda in Kyonmangei Town, Wakema Township, Ayeyarwady Region, and offered flowers, water, and oil lamps on February 25th.
Subsequently, within the pagoda premises, the Union Minister toured and encouraged the staff from the Wakema Township Immigration and Population Department Office who were conducting a field operation providing One Stop Service at a single location for individuals from Kyonmangei town wards and surrounding villages who have reached the age of 10 but have not yet received Citizenship Scrutiny Cards, as well as those applying for replacement of damaged/lost cards, card renewal, and photocopies, verifying and processing applications in accordance with laws and procedures.
The Union Minister then toured and observed the collection of biographic and biometric data under the e-ID system for individuals from these wards/villages and market vendors attending the Maha Swe Taw Pagoda Festival who have received Citizenship Scrutiny Cards but have not yet obtained Unique ID numbers, facilitating the issuance of Unique ID numbers alongside. He provided directives to responsible officials regarding operational requirements.
After inquiring about work-related difficulties and cordially greeting the local residents who had come to utilize the services, the Union Minister presented Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and cards bearing UID numbers, processed through the One Stop Service system, to the respective individuals. He also provided financial assistance and refreshments intended for the township office staff to the Township Officer for distribution.
Following this, the Union Minister proceeded to pay homage to the Presiding Sayadaw of Myat Swe Taw Market Monastery Pariyatti Sarthintaik Monastery, Bhaddanta Pannajota , discussed religious matters, and offered robes and donated items to the venerable Sayadaw, it’s reported.
