






The Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than inspected the garment production work processes of Star Sandar Company at Insein Industrial Paper Mill, Yangon Region on 29th January and instructed to extend the industry for the creation of job opportunity for the people and to mitigae the environmental damages.
Next, the union minister arrived at the textile and garment production technology development center joint-ventured by the Ministry of Industry and Korea Apparel Testing and Research Institute (KATRI) for the textile and garment industrial development of Myanmar to carry out the testing, inspection and issuing quality recommendation certificate for the textile and garments to meet the international standards, inspected the status of the completion of laboratory building and arrival of testing machines and equipments.
The responsible person clarified the status of work implementation and the union minister instructed to have drafted a diagram of inspection stages, trained the employees to have capacity for the inspection to meet the international standards and manage to create workplace as a good environment.
Then, the union minister inspected the production of masks at No (9) Sub Textile Mill (Insein) and production of OKI detergent powder and detergent cream by the United Pacific Co., Ltd. Then, the union minister guided to conduct the research and development works for the sustainable development of the industry, increasing production to meet the domestic requirement, extend the industry for the interest of the people and need to supervise to meet the specified quality and standards of the products.
In the morning on 30th January, the union minister visited Go Excellent (Myanmar) Co., Ltd. in Shwe Lin Ban Industrial Zone, Hlaingthaya Township and Myanmar Arr Thit Man Motor Co., Ltd. in TharDuKan Industrial Zone in ShwePyiTha Township and viewed the condition of motor vehicle assembling process, testing the fitness of the vehicles with the supporting machines and equipments, test driving of newly assembled motor vehicles on the roads with various conditions for the safety of the motor vehicle consumers.
Then, the union minister instructed to extablish quality assurance system to manufacture quality assurant items, provide for the employees to acquire skill level reconmendation certificate, to address the safety of the consumers, to made efforts to acquire the technologies to manufacture the parts instead of satisfying in assembling parts imported from oversea, the inspection teams to test in line with the Check Lists and inspected the work process of the motor vehicle assembling.
