





Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing, and officials, on June 18, visited the examination center at No. (1) Basic Education High School in Meiktila to observe students peacefully taking the third day's Mathematics matriculation exam.
From there, the Union Minister proceeded to examination centers at No. (5) Basic Education High School in Meiktila, Daikaung Kone Basic Education High School in Wundwin Township, (Han Myint Mo) Basic Education High School in Kyaukse, and Belling Basic Education High School in Sintgaing.
He observed the students calmly taking their exams and cordially greeted and encouraged them after they finished the Mathematics paper. After that, they toured and inspected the examination center, providing guidance and coordinating to fulfill necessary requirements.
On the third day of the matriculation exam, for the Mathematics subject, a total of 63,673 students registered to sit the exam at 195 examination centers across Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Kachin State, Sagaing Region, and Mandalay Region.
Of these, 62,792 students attended, representing an attendance rate of 98.62%. In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected Kyaukse University, providing guidance to officials and coordinating to fulfill necessary requirements. From there, the Union Minister met with Mandalay Region’s district, and township education officers, headmasters of basic education high schools and middle schools, founders and headmasters of private/non-state schools, and founders and headmasters of International Schools at the Kambawza School Hall within No. (2) Basic Education High School in Pyin Oo Lwin.
He discussed and gave instructions on necessary matters. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of continuously focusing on maintaining cleanliness and pleasant environments in all schools, improving school aesthetics, and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. Following this, attendees presented their inquiries and needs, which the Union Minister coordinated and addressed.
From there, the Union Minister inspected No. (3) Basic Education High School in Pyin Oo Lwin, No. (3) Basic Education Middle School, and Basic Education and Industrial, Agricultural, Livestock Sub High School (Middle School No. 1), where he fulfilled necessary requirements.
