Inspection of CTQM: Union Minister inspected CTQM and rice exporting

Union Minister for Commerce Dr Pwint Hsan inspected the established laboratories that facilitated the commercial activities in Yangon Region and the exports of rice abroad in the morning on Saturday. First, the union minister visited the Commodity Testing and Quality Management Center (CTQM) of the Department of Consumers Affairs in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region and inspected the agricultural products laboratory tests for the export of qualified agricultural products and rubber products to the international market.

The In-Charge of CTQM, Chairman and Secretary of Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association, a responsible official from Southland Myanmar Rubber Co., Ltd, Secretary-General of UMFCCI, Director-General of the Department of Consumer Affairs clarified the related matters.

Regarding the clarifications, the union ministers gave necessary instructions and inspected the laboratories.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister proceeded to Shwe Me` Logistics Services Co., Ltd in Shwepyitha Industrial Zone (3) and inspected the process of exporting 100,000 tons of rice to Bangladesh under G to G (MoU) and the responsible officials from UMFCCI and Myanmar Rice Federation reported the exports of rice by the companies.

The Union Minister gave necessary guidelines and inspected the process of exporting rice.
