Inspection of Coal-Fired Power Plant: MOEP UM inspected Ti Kyit coal-fired steam power plant

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, accompanied by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and departmental officials, inspected the power generation status of the Ti Kyit Coal-fired Steam Power Plant in Pinlaung Township, Shan State (South) on June 17.

Upon their arrival at the Ti Kyit Coal-fired Steam Power Plant, the Union Minister, Chief Minister, and officials proceeded to the plant's meeting room. There, the Managing director of the Electrical Power Generation Enterprise provided a briefing on the operational status, after which the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.

Following the briefing, the Union Minister met with staff, delivered a speech, addressed their needs, and presented them with a fruit basket as a token of appreciation. After that, the Union Minister, Chief Minister, and officials toured and inspected the power control room, machine hall, coal storage facilities, and ash storage facilities, providing necessary guidance and addressing requirements.

Subsequently, the Union Minister visited the coal mining block of Eden Energy and Natural Resources Development Co., Ltd. There, an official presented a briefing on the ongoing operations. From the briefing area's viewpoint, the Union Minister inspected the coal extraction within the mining block and the efforts being made to ensure continuous coal excavation.

The Union Minister provided necessary instructions and addressed requirements. Continuing their tour, the Union Minister, Chief Minister, and officials arrived at the Kalaw Main Substation in Kalaw Township. They conducted a detailed inspection of the damage sustained by the substation's guesthouse due to the Mandalay earthquake. They instructed officials to coordinate efforts for the prompt repair of the damages.
