The Union Minister acknowledged that the Mandalay earthquake which struck on March 28, caused significant damage and losses. He emphasized that many construction materials are urgently needed for reconstruction efforts.

He stated that the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister had instructed ministries and relevant bodies to support and fulfill the requirements of domestic cement factories, steel/iron factories, roofing material factories, plywood factories, and brick factories to resume full operations.

After that, the Union Minister met with factory officials in the meeting hall to discuss restoring damaged machinery and buildings within a set timeframe.

He also gave instructions to ensure the factory could resume full-capacity production of the cement needed for reconstruction efforts. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Factory Branch No. 7 (Wan-dwin), where he inspected buildings damaged by the earthquake.
