






Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by the members of entourage, Chief Ministers of Mandalay and Magway regions and officials inspected the status of renovating ancient lakes to prevent flood and damages due to the natural disasters in Bagan Archeological Zone in the morning on 16th September.
First, the SAC Chairman and party arrived at Mya Kan Dam constructed by King Kyansistha since in 450 Myanmar era and 1088 AD and at the clarification hall, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture and officials clarified the status of water inflow as in the designated path at the occurrence of Yagi Typhoon due to the renovation of the paths of inflow and outflow, although receiving 10.71 inches of precipitation in Bagan Archeological Zone on September 11th and 12th, there was no flooding and water inflow as in the designated path due to the clearance of the water ways of inflow and outflow and the renovation of the lakes etc.
In responding to the clarifications, SAC Chairman gave necessary instructions.
Next, the Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Min Thu and officials clarified the implementation of Turin Hill greening work project, planting trees and thriving of trees in the spaces free from Archeological sites in line with the guidance of the SAC Chairman and the establishing groups of trees at the sides of Meiktila-Kyaukpataung-Nyaung-U Road.
The SAC Chairman delivered the guidance regarding with the clarifications, inspected Mya Kan Dam area and gave necessary instruction on the reports of the officials.
Then, the SAC Chairman and party arrived at Zayyawady (Jaya Veri) Lake near East Phwa Saw Village, heard the reports and gave necessary instruction.
After that, the SAC Chairman and party inspected No.3 Mingalar Lake (Moon Tain Lake) near West Phwa Saw Village and the responsible officials clarified the status of water inflow. Upon the clarification, SAC Chairman Prime Minister gave necessary instructions.
