Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Session: 7th day of second regular session convened

The Seventh Day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was convened at 10:00 a.m. today, July 9, in the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 560 parliamentary representatives entitled to attend, 553 were present.

According to the agenda, the Hluttaw was informed that it had received from the Amyotha Hluttaw the Countering Online Scam Bill, on which the two Hluttaws hold differing views.

Subsequently, the motion relating to ASEAN submitted by Dr. Nanda Hla Myint, representative for Kalaw Constituency, was discussed by U Thet Naing Oo, representative for Hpa-an Constituency, U Myo (a.k.a. U Myo Aung), representative for Pyay Constituency, Daw Than Than Aye, representative for Thingangyun Constituency, Daw Soe Soe Myint, representative for Mon State constituency No. 12; U Hla Swe, representative for Pobbathiri Constituency; Dr. Kyaw Swe, representative for Taungdwingyi Constituency and U Aung Thiha, representative for Yangon Region Constituency No. 5.

The meeting was then adjourned temporarily, it’s reported.
