






The Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Kan Myint Than, accompanied by responsible officials, inspected the floodwater intrusion situation caused by heavy rainfall in Nay Pyi Taw and the ongoing cleanliness and beautification efforts Tuesday afternoon.
He also visited and paid respects to an elderly person aged over 100 years. First, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, along with relevant officials, went to the Basic Education High School in Tharwuthti Village, Lewe Township, and toured the school compound to inspect the floodwater intrusion caused by the heavy rain.
He gave necessary instructions and donated funds for the school's development. Afterward, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman visited and paid respects to an elderly person Daw Saw Kyi, aged 120, in Ywarthit Village, Doenwe Ward, Dekkhinathiri Township, providing necessary assistance and support.
According to the Union Territory Head Officer’s Office under the Ministry of Immigration and Population, there are currently 24 individuals aged 100 and above residing in the Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw. Subsequently, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, together with relevant officials, inspected the cleaning of algae on the platforms on both sides of the road in front of City Hall Gate (3) on Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road, Zayathiri Township, using water pressure pumps, it’s reported.
