Industry and MSME Sector: Basic Electrical Skill Training Course (Solar System)

The opening ceremony of the Basic Electrical Skill Training Course (Solar System) Batch (2/2026) was held on September 28 at the Electrical Inspection Training Hall in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region. Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than attended the ceremony virtually and delivered a speech.

 The Union Minister stated that solar energy is well-suited to the country's climate, allowing residential applications for cost savings and daily household energy needs while industrial applications to power heavy machinery and high-temperature manufacturing processes.

He highlighted that since Myanmar currently relies on imported fuel for electricity generation, sourcing electricity from domestic renewable energy resources will help achieve a sufficient and abundant power supply, ultimately fostering socio-economic development.

He also emphasized that installing and connecting solar systems strictly in accordance with standardized protocols and safety guidelines is essential to ensure user safety.A total of 90 trainees is attending the Basic Electrical Skill Training Course (Solar System) Batch (2/2026). The training will cover 11 subjects and run from September 28 to October 23, 2026.
