Industrial Skilled Training: 1-year course opened at Thagaya Training Center

The opening ceremony of 1-year Industrial skilled training course Batch 15 took place at No.3 Industrial Training Center (Thagaya) in Yedashe Township of Bago Region on 28th May. Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Deputy Minister U Yin Maung Nyunt and concerned officials attended the ceremony through virtual system.

In his speech, the Union Minister highlighted the crucial role of education sector in nation’s development process, emphasizing to upgrade the vocational education sector through government-private and relevant organizations collaboration.

Aiming to develop industry sector, the Ministry of Industry annually conducts the Industry Skilled Training courses, skills-based short-term training, industrial and vocational mobility training at Industrial Training Centers. The Union Minister also encouraged the trainees and trainers to make strenuous efforts in contributing to the interest of the nation.

The No.3 Industrial Training Center (Thagaya) was established with the assistance of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in 2009. The (1) year Industrial Skilled Training Course Batch-1 was opened on 10th August in 2009 and to date, a total of 1,688 trainees have turned out from Batch 1 to 14. Moreover, 37 trainees will attend the Batch 15 course which is set to be held from 28th May 2025 to 10th April 2026.
