







Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, together with the officials, visited Myanmar Mandalay Fu Xin Steel Mill in SintKai Township on Saturday. Officials reported on the operation process of the factory, issuance of factory registration and assistance for development of MSME industries.
The Union Minister mentioned that the Prime Minister has given guidance to implement the operation of PangPet and MyinChan Steel Mills since the country has to import steels due to failure of full operation by the local steel mills.
The Union Minister pledged to provide assistance for operation the factory at full capacity since it produces the steel bars using the resources locally. He added that the ministry is issuing the industrial registration certificates for systematic development and safe operation of the factories like the steel mills.
For this, inspection will be made at the factories in line with the Private Industrial Enterprise Law enacted in 1991. There will be easing of some cases in line with the changing trend of age, while emphasizing on the matters that must be followed.
He called for cooperation of private entrepreneurs in the registration certificate process since it has been carried out for avoiding the harm and damages to the lives and properties of people and the environment.
As of January 2023, the registration certificates have been issued to over 45,000 industrial enterprises including over 9,000 heavy industries, over 11,000 medium industries and over 24,000 small industries.
