Industrial and MSME Development: Meeting with the officials at MSME Centre

Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr Charlie Than urged officials and managers of departments and enterprises under the ministry in Yangon Region to improve their performance and contribute more effectively to industrial and MSME development.

Speaking at a meeting with department and enterprise officials at the Kyaik Wine MSME Centre in Mayangone Township on Sunday, the Union Minister stressed the need for officials to take full responsibility for their duties and work systematically to achieve concrete results. He called on state-owned factories to increase production by making full use of human resources and machinery, while ensuring that products meet required quality standards.

He also instructed officials to properly manage raw materials, spare parts, finances and state-owned assets. The Union Minister urged factories and departments to cooperate with local MSMEs and business owners by linking their products with local supply chains, sharing technology and expertise, and helping address their needs.

He also called for greater efforts from all staff to achieve their assigned targets within the designated timeframe and contribute to the development of the industrial and MSME sectors. Officials from the respective departments and enterprises then reported on their ongoing activities, difficulties and future plans.
