






Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Global Buddhist summit in New Delhi on Thursday. The theme of the two-day summit is "Responses to Contemporary Challenges: Philosophy to Praxis.” Modi said the world is facing challenges, but “the solutions to all the problems of the modern world can be found in the sermons of Buddha recorded hundreds of years ago.”
The summit, attended by more than 170 international participants, is hosted by the Indian Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation. Among those attending are Buddhist leaders from Bhutan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, South Korea, Australia and Mexico.
