Immigration and Population: MOIP Union Minister visits Kengtung

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing visited Kengtung Basic Education High School No.5 on July 28 to observe the issuing of national registration cards and UID numbers.

Students aged 10 who had not yet received cards were processed under the one-stop service system. The Union Minister also viewed blood type testing, registration procedures, and UID collection. Afterward, the Union Minister handed over the NRC cards and UID number to students, and provided cash assistance, food, and nutrition snacks.

On the 29, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing met with staff from district and township offices in Kengtung on Wednesday. He stressed that issuing national registration cards and UID numbers must continue beyond the deadline, and urged strict immigration checks in border areas, proper discipline, unity among staff, and respectful service to the public. The Union Minister also listened to staff reports, provided necessary guidance, and gave financial and food support.
