Illegal trade: Restaurant accessories, auto parts seized

An effective action is being taken by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee to prevent illegal trade in accordance with the law.

On 21 May, a multi-departmental inspection seized unspecified car spare parts and various accessories, a Wheel Loader and a 12-wheel Mitsubishi Fuso truck carrying the goods at the 105th-mile trade zone in Muse. Similarly, an inspection team led by the Anti-Illicit Trade Task Force seized 7,000 visses of dregs oil in Kanbalu Township.

An inspection team led by the region’s General Administration Department seized illegal bags of wheat flour. On 22 May, the Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force in Bago Region seized illegal sawn timbers in Toungoo and Thayawady Districts.

Inspections led by the Myanmar Police Force seized two unlicensed TOYOTA Mjar and RACITS vehicles near the milepost No 7/0 of DaikU-Sittoung Road.

Thus, a total of 13 arrests worth approximately 70.38 million were made on 21 and 22 May, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
