Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, timbers and vehicles seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 18th, 19th and 20th of May, illegal teak, illegal soft drink, illegal timbers and unregistered vehicles were seized at the 16th mile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint, on the Pakokku-Pauk Road, in Toungoo District and on the DaikU-Sittoung Road.

In total, illegal goods, timbers and unregistered vehicle worth over 51 million Kyats were seized on the 18th, 19th and 20th of May. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
