Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and hardwood confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 8th, 9th and 10th of February, illegal goods including porcelain ceramic pillar, talc powder, energy drink, galvanized squares,  plastic black masterbatch, lunch boxes and hardwood worth over 324 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the Hteedan container checkpoint, at the Myanmar International Terminals (Thilawa), at the Asia World Port container checkpoint and in Lepadan Township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
