Illegal trade: Foodstuff, consumer goods, electronics, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

Three kinds of goods including 250 sets of Standing Mirror (Iron), two kinds of goods including 708 two-doors glass bureaus at Asia World Container Checkpoint in Yangon on 1st of March, three kinds of goods including 100 boxes contained 300 mililiter Lactasoy bottles and Nissan-Condor vehicle at Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint in Mon State, three kinds of goods including 6120 sets of rubber slippers made in Thailand and a Nissan-Vanette Pickup vehicle at Naungnun combined checkpoint in Kengtung Townshp of Shan State, 6120 sets of rubber slippers made in Thailand at Kawtkareik (Tadarkyo) combined checkpoint in Kayin State on 3rd March, three kinds of goods including 10 boxes of M-150 (energy drink) and four motor bikes including Honda CBR 150 R from a warehouse in No (2) Ward of Myawady Township, 8 kinds of goods including 10 units of Acer FHD ISP Monitor 23.8” and a Higer-Express vehicle on 4th March were confiscated.

Therefore, 12 arrests (approximately 265.404 million kyats) were made on 1, 3 to 4 March, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
