Humanitarian Assistance: SAC Vice-Chairman meets with the ICRC delegation

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Vice Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Ms. Yasmine Praz Dessimoz, Director of Operations at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Mr. Regis Savioz, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific at ICRC in Nay Pyi Taw on 11th April.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to loss and damages caused by severe earthquake, humanitarian assistance from 32 international countries, systematic management and swift distribution of relief items to the earthquake victims, significant achievements in rescue and relief measures due to the concerted efforts of the international and Myanmar rescue teams, further assistance from AHA Centre and ICRC in earthquake hit areas and future collaborative activities of Myanmar and ICRC in post disaster period.
