Humanitarian Assistance: India Donates Cement for Reconstruction

Operation Brahma is an ongoing disaster relief and rescue operation undertaken by the Indian government in response to the 2025 Myanmar earthquake.

Accordingly, the Operation Brahma donated 225 tons of cement for the reconstruction and renovation work aftermath of severe earthquake. Myanmar Navy Vessel UMS MyitKyina carrying those cement bags left Viasakhapatnam of India on 24th May and arrived Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa (MITT) in Yangon on the 26th.

On the occasion, India Ambassador to Myanmar Abhay Thakur handed over the donation which was received by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein who later expressed gratitude for the generous donation of India.

Operation Brahma has been rendering immediate humanitarian assistance, including search and rescue efforts, medical aid, and support to affected populations in the aftermath of a severe earthquake. It also demonstrates India's commitment to supporting neighboring countries in times of crisis.
