





On 3rd May, a ceremony to handover the housings to the flood affected residents from Nyaung Pin Thar Village in Magyipin Village tract of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
The housing project was implemented with the support of Myanmar Tourism Federation and affiliated associations under the supervision of Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. Union Minister U Kyaw Soe Win attended the ceremony and made a speech.
In his speech, the Union Minister expressed his appreciations for the local residents and relevant individuals who made concerted efforts in implementing the housing project in a short period of time. The housing project includes 22 houses and a community center. Moreover, arrangements are underway to conduct handicraft training courses to create job opportunities for the local residents.
The Union Minister encouraged the Myanmar Tourism Federation and affiliated associations for further assistance in establishing Nyaung Pin Thar Village as a community-based tourism model village. He called for the concerted efforts of the residents, relevant departments and organizations to expedite the rehabilitation process of the village.
Subsequently, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo made clarifications on current socio-economic development process of the residents, small scale industries within the village and renovation and restoration works within Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory in line with the urban characteristics. It was followed by the discussions on completed rehabilitation measures and further tasks to be implemented.
Next, the housings were handed over to the residents and the village administrator expressed words of gratitude. After the ceremony, the Union Minister made a tour to the housings.
